Consulting on Sellina implementation

Most B2B (and B2C) e-commerce system providers sell you a license and leave you to figure out how to adapt the system to your own business processes. We start differently – by talking about what your processes look like today.

Only on this basis do we look for what and how can be automated using Sellina, how to connect it with other systems, and how to build a coherent architecture from all this.

What does Cognize consulting include when implementing Sellina?

01

Before the decision
Free needs assessment

Before a specific implementation proposal is made, we understand your sales process: channels, product catalog, systems you already use, and what's really holding your team back. This stage is free and concludes with a preliminary quote and information on our experience with similar projects. We call this stage a "technical call" and typically takes 1-2 hours. It allows us to prepare a preliminary quote, a "cost forecast," and a preliminary implementation timeline.

02

Pre-Implementation Analysis
A paid stage that protects the project budget

This is a crucial step before the implementation decision is made. During this step, we work with you to map your sales processes and translate them into a specific scope of Sellina functionality. The result is a technical specification, a feature list, and a project budget and schedule. The completed Pre-Implementation Analysis remains the client's property and can be used to conduct market research and gather bids.

03

After implementation
Consulting does not end with the start of sales

The consultant remains available even after the system launch – helping to identify new needs that only become apparent during actual store traffic, not at the planning stage, and adapt Sellina's subsequent functionalities to them, instead of ending cooperation on the day of the sales launch.

The Role of the Consultant.
Why was it a former B2B eCommerce Manager and not a salesperson?

The Sellina implementation project is led by a consultant experienced in B2B/B2C eCommerce and IT system implementations, who himself previously worked as a B2B eCommerce Manager at a retail company. This has practical implications: the consultant understands the day-to-day processing of orders, the pressures on the sales department, and the consequences of choosing the wrong system—not only from the technical perspective of the implementation, but also from the perspective of the person who will later have to work with the system.

Our Consultant specializes in projects for technical companies with large or complex product catalogs.

What does cooperation look like step by step?

Contact and identification of needs

After submitting the contact form, we'll contact you to better understand your implementation needs and requirements. This stage typically involves three online meetings, which are completely free of charge. The results include: acquaintance with our experience in similar projects, an understanding of your needs, knowledge of the implementation process, and a preliminary quote.

Pre-Implementation Analysis (approx. 4 weeks)

If you decide to continue our collaboration, we move on to the Pre-Implementation Analysis. This stage involves jointly preparing the project specifications. This is an in-person process, typically conducted at your company's headquarters. Finally, we develop the Technical Specifications, a list of features, and a precise project budget and schedule.

Only after these two stages does the implementation itself begin – with the scope determined based on the Pre-Implementation Analysis, not the assumptions made before the first conversation.

How much does consulting cost?

The needs assessment phase is free of charge. The Pre-Implementation Analysis costs PLN 12,400–24,500, depending on the complexity of the process. It's a one-time expense that protects against overestimating or underestimating the scope of the actual implementation.

The full price list can be found on the website Pricing.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions

Is the first conversation with a consultant paid?

No. The needs assessment stage is free and ends with an initial quote before you commit to anything paid.

How is a Pre-Implementation Analysis different from a regular valuation?

A standard quote is based on assumptions from a single conversation. A pre-implementation analysis is a series of workshops in which we map your business processes and precisely define requirements to ensure the scope, budget, and implementation schedule are precise, not estimated. If you have a precise description of your requirements, we prepare a quote free of charge.

Who provides the advice – the salesperson or the technical expert?

A consultant with experience in B2B/B2C e-commerce, who previously worked as a B2B E-commerce Manager himself. His job is to understand your business and advise on the best path, not to close the sale at all costs.

Is Pre-Implementation Analysis mandatory?

No, but we recommend it for every project – it protects you from a situation in which dedicated functionalities turn out to be more expensive or time-consuming than expected at the beginning.

Does consulting end after the store launch?

It doesn't have to. The consultant is also available after the sale begins – some processes are revealed only after actual activity, not at the planning stage.

How long does the entire process take before implementation begins?

The needs assessment phase typically involves several conversations spread over approximately two weeks. The Pre-Implementation Analysis itself lasts approximately four weeks. Only after its completion is the implementation schedule established.
